Guinness World Records – Valentine’s Day
Get a hold of this! Valentine Day enthusiasts have managed to make their way to the ultimate tome of records – the Guinness Book of World Records no less . Here are a few of the eye-popping (or, heart-catching!) achievements!
What is it with water? It’s very fluidity and sensuousness attracts lovers like magnets. On 14 February 2001 (Valentine’s Day), 34 couples from 22 countries donned scuba diving suits and oxygen masks and literally felt the earth move from beneath them! All of them simultaneously exchanged wedding vows some 10 metres (32.8 ft) underwater near Kradan Island, Southern Thailand!
Guess how many lovebirds locked lips – simultaneously? A staggering 6,980 couples (13,960 participants) at an event organised by Radio Kameleon in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina on 1 September 2007.
On 25 September 2005, Chamizal Park in Juárez, Mexico was witness to the world’s largest group hug that involved 6,623 participants. Love does make the world go round!
