Valentine’s Day in Austria

It is believed that it were the Americans who introduced the whole concept of Valentine’s Day to Austria. Steeped in age-old European traditions, Austria still boasts obscure courtship customs that are believed to be associated with Valentine’s Day.

Like the West, and for most of the world, today it has become customary for a young man to present his loved one with a bunch of flowers for Valentine’s Day.
