Alright, social service is not exactly your forte and the thought of being around children or old people is scary at best. But, give it a try just this once.

Visit an orphanage. Go armed with flowers, candy, soft toys, maybe even some old books from your childhood, and your best smile. At any rate, don’t look as though you are ready to bolt any minute. The unconditional acceptance and love that you will receive from these children will thaw the ice in your heart and make you feel that the world is not such a bad place after all.

Neglected and sidelined, old people yearn for a sympathetic listener. So, spend time with one and make this day special for them. You may forget the moment but they will cherish this memory always…
