Valetine’s Day has a long and interesting history. It goes way back. Some think to the times of Roman Emperor Claudius II, a romantic kiljoy of an emperor who banned marriage! This would put the first Valentine’s Day as 14th February, 270 A.D – when a poor priest who defied him and secretly married couples was beheaded.
